As a Transportation Engineer Spec III or IV you will be responsible for tracking maintenance budgets, overseeing RMCs, MMCs, MBITS inspections and FUAs. You will also be assisting the four Maintenance Sections under the area office to develop 1-year plans, review roadway segments for the 4-year plan and PMIS condition scores to produce proper treatment options.
Transportation Engineer Spec III (B20): $51,158- $81,351/yearly
Transportation Engineer Spec IV (B21): $54,278 - $87,046/yearly

Position Description
Performs advanced and specialized drafting, calculations and design work; performs field work; uses automated systems; learns specialized techniques; trains and reviews the work of others; others. Design activity is overseen by a licensed professional engineer or registered architect who has final approval authority for projects. May serve as lead worker. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.

9 years drafting, design, plan preparation. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes
