• About This Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for managing the relationships with assigned suppliers, including day to day interaction, quality and product costs to support 7-Eleven store demand at the lowest total landed cost. Analyst will be the primary resource for managing established distribution programs with key suppliers, which includes tracking, monitoring and managing KPIs outlined in the agreements. Analyst will be responsible for developing internal reporting to ensure visibility of the KPIs and will be responsible for socializing results with cross-functional business partners. Analyst will work cross functionally with Demand Planning and Merchandising teams to maximize vendor rebate programs. This will include tracking POs, understanding vendor programs, and ensuring prompt payment to maximize supplier terms. The Analyst will align with cross-functional business teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of purchase orders & deliveries for various product categories. Analyst will drive readiness of key distribution metrics such as supplier fill rate performance, supplier on-time performance and other key metrics associated with 7-Eleven supplier requirements via a balanced scorecard. For the assigned suppliers, Analyst will be responsible for reviewing the balanced scorecard on a recurring basis. In instances where supplier is not meeting 7-Eleven expectations, Analyst will be responsible for developing action plans in partnership with the supplier to help drive performance to 7-Eleven standards. For any new supplier, Analyst will be responsible for communicating and outlining 7-Eleven performance expectations related to on-time and fill-rate. Analyst will work with new supplier during the onboarding process to understand and document rebate programs offered by the supplier.
In instances where cost changes due to reasons stemming from vendor programs, Analyst is responsible for providing new costing information to functional teams responsible for loading updated purchase prices as well as updated selling prices.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Manange a portfolio of vendors. Maintaining contacts and relationships. Tracking key KPIs such as On-Time, In-Full, costs, and overall compliance.
- Establish and maintain a current understanding of supplier ship points for the various product types and drive continuous improvement on First Mile flow path optimization with respect to Order Delivery Frequency and its impact on inventory levels vs. transportation cost, as well as maintaining vendor lead time variability within prescribed limits.
- Interact closely with Demand Forecasting and Merchandisers to ensure that purchases are made in accordance with supplier programs to maximize cost efficiency and supplier funding.
- Analyze existing processes identifying opportunities for efficiencies, cost reductions, performance improvements.
- Develop metrics and reporting for monitoring results. Partner with stakeholders, negotiating improvements, execute delivery, and monitor results.
- Collaborate with merchandising, demand planning, and key business stakeholders to understand business requirements and vendor performance and implement appropriate vendor management strategies
- Deliver financial optimization by driving compliance to contractual agreements
- Manage internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and procedures
- Responsible for supplier management and execution. Maintain supplier relationships and performance through a balanced scorecard.
- Develops best practices and leverages/champions best practices identified by the team
EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ years
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES:
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- College degree (BA or BS), Degree in Engineering or MBA with supply chain focus preferred.
- 2 - 3 years experience in a supply chain or merchandising role.
- Retail or consumer goods industry experience preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to plan, forecast, and exercise sound judgement
- Strong database skills and ability to work with large datasets
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Comfortable guiding and managing negotiations
- Demonstrated careful attention to detail
