The VMI Supply Planning Manager is responsible to maintain the set inventory targets across all distribution facilities within the US to enable highest possible level of customer satisfaction. This includes but is not limited to creating replenishment orders, communicating changes to demand/supply planning and providing excellent customer service. You will be the main point of contact and lead for all supply chain needs of the customer(s) and their business representatives within defined US territories. You will have exposure to Inventory/Capacity Planning, Logistics, Forecasting, WMS, Finance and EDI and work with his/her peers in Red Bull North America and Red Bull's Global entity.

  • SUPPLY MANAGEMENT


    Manage SKU/DC inventory levels to within established targets to prevent stock-outs and overstock situations, especially during product transitions (promotional packaging, new items and phase out items)

    Accurate entry of replenishment orders for the customer via SAP

    Monitor, adjust, and manage min/max inventory levels on an ongoing basis to satisfy days on hand target and redefine based on business requirements

    Manage and Lead inventory strategy for customer expansions and new location, acting as liaison between local team/3PL/IT/HQ, collaborate with demand and field leadership on initial-send quantities based on targets, availability, and allocation. Followed by monitoring of loads to ensure no missed shipments.

    Coordinate with Supply Planning colleagues on inbound shipments to 3PL provider and support RBNA inventory deployment strategy.

    Work directly with Logistics vendor (Geodis) to identify inbounds/outbounds, prioritize receiving, committing inventory, and customer delivery

    Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Planning Team to manage product transitions, both end of life and new product introductions for VMI customers.

    Help grow the VMI program by managing the execution of new customer Monitor and report on KPI's


  • PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & TRAINING


    Partner with Talent Business Partner, recruiting team, and Sr. Manager to strategically hire and cultivate talent for direct report(s)

    Develop and execute onboarding rubric any newly hire direct report

    Support Sr Manager and lead onboarding all new team members through hand-on training, coaching, and reviewing work/results (9-week onboarding)

    Act as lead in maintaining a VMI resource library of process documents and training materials


  • MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT & SYSTEMS SUPPORT


    Manage back-end master data setup that includes Plant/location creation, trouble shooting, SKU maintenance, ticket creation and tracking, order testing

    Support the team and customers through working with manager and leading analysis, reporting, and resolution confirmation of systematic issues in planning software and ERP (data incongruencies, SAP job failures)

    Manage address changes in system and timing with customers to ensure seamless continuity of deliveries when customers frequently move warehouses

    Own the management of all off-line replenishment tools and any needed updates. Roll-out trainings to team members and direct reports on tools and their enhancements

    Play a key role in systematic redesign for Replenishment Software as a subject matter expert and work cross functionally with domestic and international teams on this globalized effort. Lead internal training during UAT and roll-out phases.


  • CUSTOMER SERVICE


    Act as main point of contact for customers and RBNA leads for all supply chain needs within assigned US territories. Lead direct report(s) and more junior team members in their efforts to support of territory customers behind the scenes

    Communicate with the customer and regional Leadership Team about product stocking levels and seasonal fluctuations to ensure there are no stock outs or out of code risk

    Conduct customer reviews to identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement

    Provide weekly/Monthly customer reporting (Inventory level, PO report)

    Lead weekly CPFR calls with RDOPs to agree on midterm goals, transparency of the supply chain, ad-hoc requests, and projects

    Provide analysis and lead efforts around Year-End-Close projections and ensure Financial Sales volume achievement for assigned customers


  • LOGISTICS/TRANSPORTATION PLANNING


    Create replenishment orders in full truckload quantities to minimize transportation costs and optimize truckload utilization.

    PO manipulation (deconstructing and rebuilding) minimize LTLs and maximize FTLs

    Optimize case pick efficiency

    Inventory deployment that will strike an optimal balance between supply chain and logistic target

    Defining delivery prioritizations based on business needs and metrics (ex. product launches, new markets, DOH recovery, etc.)

    Work with customer(s), Logistics, and vendor/3PL on customer delivery edge cases

    Maintain oversight on customer delivery expedites to ensure the right balance between logistical efficiency and customer DOH

    Reconcile order/shipment discrepancies between internal and external systems




EXPERIENCE


Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with undergraduate statistical analysis or engineering focus preferred
  • Seven plus years of experience in Supply Chain related roles such as demand planning, supply planning, or production planning
  • Experience and comfort in producing and providing executive-level summaries using data-driven fact-based analysis
  • High caliber of professional interpersonal skills, with excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Self-motivated team member who can drive resolution to issues with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experiencing in leading or coaching other team members
  • Experience with SAP ERP and APO SNP; EDI and SAP IBP is a plus
  • Advanced user in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio)
  • Skills with VBA, Macros, SQL are a plus
