Our client is a dynamic biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative therapies for serious diseases. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced VP/Head of Business Development to lead on strategic partnerships and business development efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements that align with business objectives and enhance pipeline.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market reach, and secure additional funding.
  • Deal Structuring: Lead deal negotiations, including term sheet development, due diligence, and contract drafting.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing business development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive their success.
  • Investor Relations: Represent the company in investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows, effectively communicating our value proposition and driving investor interest.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in business, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or a related role within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing complex deals, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and licensing agreements.
  • Strong understanding of the biotechnology industry, regulatory landscape, and intellectual property rights.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing and motivating teams.
