Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to be based out of our Sacramento, California office to focus on a variety of work related to: dams, levees, floodplain modeling and mapping studies, municipal water resources projects, and stream restoration design.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Offered rate of compensation for California will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to be based out of our Sacramento, California office to focus on a variety of work related to: dams, levees, floodplain modeling and mapping studies, municipal water resources projects, and stream restoration design.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling using various software programs
- Water resources design using Autodesk Civil3D
- Preparing and reviewing working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products
- Performing independent tasks, reviewing technical work of others; mentoring and training junior level staff
- Writing technical reports and memoranda
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in California or the ability to obtain one within first 6 months of employment
- Eight (8) or more years of relevant water resource related experience
- Experience and familiarity with the following programs: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SRH-2D, xpSWMM, HydroCAD, ArcGIS, CADD
