Apple Wireless System team is looking for an engineer to work on system performance characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple's wireless products

Key Qualifications
-\tWorking experience with MIMO/UWB characteristics (at a system level), antenna design and requirements for modern wireless communication systems such as UWB, LTE, WiFi, 802.11ad and mmWave systems
-\tWorking experience with wireless protocols, antennas, and radio propagation.
-\tExperience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE/LTE, 5G mmWave, etc. including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05...) is important.
-\tWorking experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (i.e., CMW), channel emulators.
-\tFamiliarity with regulatory requirements and certification process for CTIA and 3GPP.
-\tExcellent communication skills required, both written & verbal.

Description
•\tValidating OTA test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups.
•\tTranslating industry conformance/ regulatory/ carrier specification requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests.
•\tDefine/execute validation plan for custom SW features
•\tDebugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues
•\tMaintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc.
•\tDrive planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA/CWG testing.

Education & Experience
BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
