BUSINESS OVERVIEW:

The RISK Function encompasses more than 400 professionals in the region (LatAm, Canada, San Francisco, andNew York) and its main mission is to protect the bank. They are several sub divisions or "streams" within the RISK Function(RISK Global Markets, RISK Corporate, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, RISK Institutional and Securities Services, Independent Risk Control& RISK Management).

RISK Mission Statements:

• To advise the Bank's Management on risk appetite definition

• To contribute as an objective "second pair of eyes" that risks taken on by the Bank align with its policies

• To report and alert Bank Management of the status of risks to which the Bank is exposed

• To contribute to the development and growth of the risk culture within the Group

RISK's main responsibilities are:

• Credit and counterparty risk, market risk, funding and liquidity risk, as well as interest rate and FX risk of the Banking book, insurance risk and operational risk.

• RISK covers all Group's activities and geographies.

• Provide a holistic view of the risk profile to the Bank's Management and Board, by coordinating with the relevant Functions to ensure relevant risk assessment, aggregation, and reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RISK QUANTITATIVE ANALYST:

The AATP Program is approximately two (2) years in duration, in which the resource will have an opportunity to rotate across risk streams as well as the relevant business and functions teams, such as Global Markets Equity Research, AI Lab...etc. Responsibilities of the Quantitative Analyst will differ based on initial risk streamplacementbut could include:

• Actively participate in delivery of end-to-end solutions for calculation of VaR, Stress and Regulatory Capital

• Develop, improve, and participate in the periodic recalibration process of the market risk models

• Conduct independent quantitative reviews of models used within CUSO IHC in accordance with internal standards and regulatory guidance, in particular SR11-7

• Performing credit analyses onfinancial sponsor, private equityand other asset manager counterparties.

• Coordinating aspects of a credit process in liaison with Coverage, Business, and other Functions.

• Gathering and transforming data into risk information to provide internal and external stakeholders with a holistic understanding of the Bank's current and anticipated risks

• Conducting quantitative and qualitative risk analysis on financial instruments

• Supporting the development of the Risk infrastructure (i.e. systems, models and services) to quantify, analyze and report risks

• All majors accepted

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, Master's degree preferred

• Competency in working with large data sets, time series analysis, statistical analysis, outlier detection, regression models, statistical factor models

• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of quantitative risk models, financial engineering and financial products valuation techniques

• Quantitative/business experience preferred

• Project management knowledge

• Interest in financial industry and capital market activities

• Experience or interest in Predicting Modeling and Data Science techniques

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite and other communication tools

• Not afraid to be challenged by new subjects or experts

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to respect deadlines

• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively within a team

• Ability to apply theoretical and technical knowledge to solve practical problems

• Programming experiencing in statistical or mathematical languages such as SAS, R, Python, or MATLAB

• A keen intellectual curiosity and sense of drive

• Internship experience within financial services preferred

COMPENSATION:

The annualized base salary for this position in New York, NY & Jersey City, NJ is $95,000.
