Anticipated Salary Range
Minimum starting salary for the position is in the low-to-mid 40s. Anticipated starting salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
The Department of Anthropology at Florida State University is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Academic Program Specialist. This role is crucial to overseeing the continued academic excellence of the department.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Serving as the primary contact to current and prospective undergraduate students regarding general academic and major advising, as well as developing and presenting student orientations.
- Overseeing the graduate program including admission, advising, and tracking academic progress.
- Maintaining graduate databases and processing tuition waivers evaluations, and other academic paperwork.
- Serving as academic liaison to The Graduate School and The College of Arts & Sciences, representing the department at the college and university level, and keeping departmental staff, faculty, and students up to date on changes.
- Aiding the department faculty curriculum committee in curriculum development.
- Managing academic space and scheduling.
- Serving as FACET representative for the Anthropology department, and processing faculty Assignments of Responsibility.
