Accounts Payable Specialist

A well-established manufacturing company in Downey, CA, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire position. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a stable, family-owned company with deep roots in the metal extrusion industry. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with ERP systems, especially Oracle. The company is looking for someone with a solid work ethic who can thrive in a collaborative, yet fast-paced environment. You will be joining a dedicated team that handles significant financial transactions across multiple locations, ensuring smooth operations and accurate processing.

Salary Range: $25 - $30 / hour DOE

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• Experience with high-level ERP systems, Oracle experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in handling repetitive tasks
• Ability to manage high-volume transactions across multiple locations
• Basic understanding of general ledger coding
• Strong math skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex accounting processes
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with 3-way matching processes is preferred
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
• Bachelor s degree is preferred but not required

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, including coding and matching invoices with purchase orders
• Maintain general ledger coding across multiple locations and entities
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of AP transactions
• Assist in the consolidation of multiple AP departments into a centralized function
• Handle 3-way matching for purchases and freight, with training provided
• Utilize Oracle to manage accounts payable functions and integrate with manufacturing systems
• Support other financial activities as needed
