Accounts Payable Specialist

Are you detail-oriented, organized and proficient in handling financial transactions? Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in Naperville, Illinois to join their team as a full-time employee! Our client is an established merchandising solutions company that prioritizes customer satisfaction as well as the well-being of their employees.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness and adherence to company policies. Process invoices promptly and efficiently to ensure timely payments
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors by responding to inquiries, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payment processing
• Prepare and process payments via check, ACH and wire transfer. Reconcile payments with invoices and maintain accurate payment records
• Review employee expense reports, ensure compliance with company policies and process reimbursements in a timely manner
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate account balances
• Responsible for overseeing company credit card program, reviewing expense reports and answering questions as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in accounts payable procedures. Implement solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related financial role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with NetSuite or large ERP systems is a plus

Accounts Payable Specialist Benefits:

• Competitive salary within the range of $50,000 - $55,000 per year
• Flexible work schedule with 3 days per week on-site (Tuesday-Thursday)
