Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist Intro

Procom Services is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable and Billing (ARB) Specialist for our client in San Antonio, TX. This role is critical in providing exceptional customer service and resolving billing-related issues for our client's customers. This is a 12 month contract with possible extensions/conversion to perm. This role is onsite in San Antonio.

Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist Job Details

As an Accounts Receivable and Billing (ARB) Specialist, you will assist customers with information regarding their accounts, process orders, research billing issues, assess charges for service connections, and handle emergency call duties. You will be a key resource in investigating and resolving issues related to customer billing and accounts receivable, including gas, electric, and non-commodity accounts.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, including details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
- Ensure that appropriate steps are taken to resolve customers' concerns.
- Arrange for billing and refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
- Contact customers to respond to inquiries or notify them of any past due or uncollected items.
- Resolve service or billing complaints by performing activities such as refunding money and adjusting bills.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions to solve problems.
- Review accounts for historical transactions.
- Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess the validity of complaints and determine possible causes, such as extreme weather conditions affecting utility bills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist Mandatory Skills

- High School diploma or GED
- Proficient knowledge of the online billing system using SAP
- Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers via telephone and in-person interactions
- Ability to assist customers and complete work assignments with minimal oversight or supervision

Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist Desired Skills

- Bilingual
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
