The Administrative Assistant will aid with diversified administrative duties such as typing, dictation, filing, and i nterfacing with appropriate staff and the public. Assists in the day-to-day administration of the department.

P rimary Duties :
- Answe ring telephones, rout ing callers, tak ing messages, and provid ing routine information to callers. Responding to general inquiries concerning the activities and operation of the department. Communicating information to appropriate parties promptly.
- Maintain ing accurate record keeping and filing systems to ensure timely retrieval of information. Open ing and rout ing incoming mail; distribut ing correspondence and other material to department staff.
- Order ing and maintain ing inventory of supplies and assist ing in the care and maintenance of equipment. Monitor ing purchasing requisitions. Act ing as a liaison with vendors and negotia ting and resolv ing problems and issues.
- Process ing departmental payroll and associated recordkeeping. Provid ing data entry support as needed. Enter ing data into various software programs and department systems.
- Arrang ing meetings, conferences, and seminars. Typ ing memorandu m s , policies, committee minutes, manuals, letters, forms, procedures, and other documents as directed.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED .
- Knowledge of medical terminology .
- 2 years clerical/office experience .
- Medical office, hospital, or ambulatory care experience p referred .
