The Radiation Oncology Administrative Associate II provides administrative support in the delivery of patient care within a busy radiation oncology department. Responsibilities include but, are not limited to the following:
  • Processes routine referrals.
  • Manages various work queues in EPIC.
  • Reviews and exports daily billing charges.
  • Obtains and processes pre-certifications for Radiology and Radiation Oncology procedures
  • Registers and obtains/verifies insurance for new Radiation Oncology patients
  • Obtains medical records and necessary reports as needed by the Radiation Oncologist in a timely manner.
  • Maintains the department schedule in Mosaiq (EMR). Assists with the coordination of Cancer Services and Special Events.
  • Transcribes letters, reports, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other correspondence.
  • Performs basic office work, including but not limited to typing, filing, word processing, making copies/faxing, and distributing email and mail.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of routine office supplies and orders supplies as needed.
  • Participates in projects as required and performs other related duties as required


Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    Experience:
    • 3+ years experience in a medical administrative role
    • Strongly preferred knowledge and experience: Oncology, EPIC, Mosaiq, Pre-Certifications.
