Primary Purpose of Position
This position will provide general administrative support for the Dean's Office, the Dean's Executive Assistant, Dean's Office Administrators and the College OneIT office. Additionally, this position supervises student workers in the Dean's Office and manages the reception desk.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and two years of office/clerical work experience; or an equivalent combination of training/experience.
Essential Job Duties
  • Provide general administrative support for the Dean's Office, the Dean's Executive Assistant, Dean's Office Administrators and the college's OneIT office.
  • Supervise student workers in the Dean's Office. Manage the reception desk.
Other Work Responsibilities
  • Hire and train student workers.
  • Plan and facilitate dean's office and college events.
  • Order supplies using p-card and 49er Mart systems. Ensure the availability of funds.
  • Assist with travel, purchasing, scheduling rooms and maintenance work orders.
  • Schedule rooms and set up conference calls.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Associate Degree and two years of office/clerical work with high proficiency in office technology; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with university systems campus-specific systems such as Banner, 49er Mart, p-card; or ability to learn.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Google Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets)
  • Experience with Event Planning; willing to train right candidate.
  • Experience in customer service skills.
  • Exceptional verbal/interpretation and written/communication skills needed with strong attention to details and deadlines essential.
  • Strong organization skills needed.
