Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managerial, administrative and supervising functions and responsibilities with varying degrees of latitude of independent initiative and judgement for establishing, implementing, developing and coordinating technical education programs in Behavioral Health Services.
  • Handle managerial, administrative, and teaching responsibilities for clinical training programs (e.g., treatment planning, suicide prevention, etc.).
  • Teach PMCS/TRUST, ambulatory care crisis intervention classes and facilitate mock codes.
  • Develop content for online training modules.
  • Assist Behavioral Health Service Performance Improvement Projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, schedule and manage Behavioral Health Core Orientation.
  • Support and assist Behavioral Health staff with Performance Improvement projects.
  • Provide administrative support for EPIC training needs of BHS staff and process access applications as EPIC Final Approver.
  • Provide administrative support for PeopleSoft ELM training needs of BHS staff.
  • Analyze, track and notify appropriate leadership regarding PMCS/TRUST compliance and scheduling.
  • Plan, coordinate schedule and manage training events for Behavioral Health Services (e.g., Lunch and Learn; M & M; Case Conference, etc.)
  • Maintain training and in-service records.
  • Assign tasks to non-managerial employees assigned to the Staff Development and Training department.
  • Serve on Kings County and Behavioral Health Services committees, as indicated.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Public Health, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Management, Public Administration or related approved discipline; and,
2. Six years of progressively responsible experience in planning and manpower development and training programs, medical or public health administration or other fields related to training, development and manpower analysis, of which at least two years shall have been in a supervisory, managerial or administrative capacity related to the organization, formulation, development and implementation of such plans and programs; or,
3. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Management, Social Work, Medical Administration, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Public Administration or a related approved field with five years of experience as described in (2) and two years in a supervisory, managerial or administrative capacity;
4. Extensive knowledge of the principles of training and manpower development programs and the ability to analyze and determine the needs of the Corporation, Network or facility; or,
5. A satisfactory combination of training, education and experience indicating the ability to perform satisfactorily.
