A client in Dallas, TX is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join the Transportation Team. This role will allow you to learn from experienced Project Managers (PM) and build your own skill sets, management approaches, and knowledge base. By collaborating with a diverse range of project managers, you will gain exposure to multiple problem-solving methodologies, management styles, and a clear path to future success.

* Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and directing schematic designs for TxDOT and local government projects.

* Using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices.

* Interacting with task leaders, team members, clients, and other consultants.

* Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

* Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others

* Team lunches/breakfasts and social activities

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering

* Licensed as a Professional Engineer

* 7+ years of Highway experience

* 7+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak (or Open Roads) and TxDOT procedures

* Proficient in Microsoft suite

* Some experience handling multiple deadlines

* Effective communication skills to engage with project teams

* Ability to adapt quickly to changing work assignments and project needs, often on short notice.

* An open mind to alternative methods from what you have previously been taught

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience with MicroStation ORD

* Previous work experiences in a management capacity

* LGPP Certification
