Required Skills & Experience

Educational Background: Possession of a Bachelors Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
Professional Certification: Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer or have recently passed the PE Exam.
Team-Oriented Outlook: Exhibits a collaborative spirit, leading with integrity, accountability, and determination.
Technical Proficiency: At least 4 years experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, Geopak, or Open Roads.
Deadline Management: Capable of juggling multiple deadlines effectively.
Communication Excellence: Strong skills in communicating with senior management and technical teams.
Adaptability: Quick to adjust to new assignments and project demands with minimal notice.
Innovative Thinking: Welcomes and considers new approaches to problem-solving.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to have:
Leadership Background: Prior experience in a management role.
Utility Design Expertise: Familiarity with design in sectors such as Electric, Gas, Drainage, Water, and Wastewater.
Software Knowledge: Proficiency with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, SAWS CPMS, CIVCAST, COSA PrimeLink.
Regulatory Acumen: Understanding of regulations from TxRRC, TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, TXDOT, and local municipalities.

Core Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Conduct design calculations, create plans, coordinate utilities, and oversee engineering projects for clients including CPS Energy, Bexar County, SAWS, and other local entities.
Project Oversight: Assist with the management of project timelines and budgets.
Technical Application: Utilize advanced industry techniques and theories.
Project Management: Serve as an Assistant Task Leader on significant projects.
Collaboration: Engage with internal teams, clients, and external consultants.
Team Development: Oversee and mentor team members.
Cultural Engagement: Participate in team meals and social events.
