Job Description

Purpose of Position:

This position is essential in coordinating, designing, performing the statistical analysis, and preparing thesis manuscripts for publication of ALL of our clinical research projects

Responsibilities:
  • Design and execution of clinical and translational research projects primarily in the field of trauma and critical care surgery in collaboration with surgical faculty, residents and medical students
  • Coordinate and direct surgical research efforts with special emphasis in Trauma- Critical Care Surgery
  • Coordinate research efforts in other departments that are closely related to the field of trauma and critical care surgery
  • Execute regulatory and IRB requirements


Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Health Administration, Public Administration or approved related program; and,
2. Six years of full-time, paid experience of progressively responsible level in hospital administration with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of health care delivery services; or,
3. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital or Health Administration, Health Care Planning, Public Health, Administrative Medicine, Business Administration, Public Administration or approved related program; and,
4. Five years of full-time, paid experience as indicated in (2); or,
5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Department Preferences

Bachelors, Master's level of training or a Ph.d. in one of the following related fields: Public Health, Epidemiology, biostatistics, or health services research

Intricate knowledge of hospital organization, clinical work flow and clinical documentation

Expertise in clinical observational studies, outcomes research and comparative effectiveness

Excellent interpersonal skills and work well with team dynamics

Experience in IRB
