About the Role:

As the Benefits Specialist, you will support the benefits function by assisting with the delivery and administration of the group plans, presenting and educating employees on their specific benefit plans, and responding to benefit questions and critical issues.

What You'll Do:

  • Help People Business Partners and employees to resolve employee escalations.
  • Act as employee liaison in communicating with benefit vendors to fix issues to completion and provide resolution to employees in a clear, concise and professional manner. Raise issues as needed.
  • Develop and review multi-channel benefit communications in partnership with Corporate Communications and communications vendor to drive employee engagement and program knowledge.
  • Build and host benefits presentations for various internal teams as needed.
  • Assist in the review of health and welfare plan documents and ensure the plans are in accordance with plan documents, federal and state laws.
  • Prepare regular benefit reports by extracting data from the database. Identify and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Assist US Benefits Manager in monitoring plan performance, data trends, program costs, market landscape, and employee experience in order to evaluate and recommend new programs, process improvements, or services that complement overall Total Rewards strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university and 3 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, and ACA is a plus.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess ability to build collaborative relationships with teammates, third party vendors, People Business Partners and all levels of employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to optimally connect with a wide range of teams in a diverse culture, including peers, management staff at corporate and in the field.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritize.
  • Ability to analyze, research and resolve complex problems in order to develop a course of action.
