The Role

The Capital Markets of our Banking and Financial Services Consulting Group is looking for Manager Consulting role to join our journey.

The position holder will serve as subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with vendor and in-house developed applications. Documents functional requirements, analyzes requirements in the context of software and processes, develops test plans, assists with, and documents business process improvement efforts, and works with data production issues.

We're looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Manager, Consulting (which is a Senior Manager level position) this means a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as a the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to People Care initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring. Responsibilities

• As part of our Management Consulting practice, serve as Manager Consulting on a large-scale project for an end-client

• Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers. Create user stories.

• Take ownership and coordinates with business units and development team to resolve data quality defects in a timely manner

• Ownership for program initiation, planning, execution, control & closure

• Report project progress and escalate project issues & risks to senior management team as per project plan

• Ensure smooth communication across project team

• Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.

• Collaborate with other analysts, product owners, technology specialists in a multi-vendor environment to work towards issue resolution

• Assist in developing and managing product roadmap, driving prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts

• Leverage data to understand user behavior and assist in product roadmap revision

• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationship with all stakeholders

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in capital markets, within banking and financial services industry

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.

• Must have an Agile certification/ working knowledge

• Working knowledge of Liquidity Risk Reporting, FR Y-14 Regulatory Reporting, Capital Markets domain concepts

• Proven analytical/technical aptitude, i.e., statistics and the ability to carefully analyze large, complex data sets

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

• Proven knowledge of computer software, such as ETL Tool Informatica, Oracle, Autosys workflow

• Basic knowledge of design techniques and principals involved in production of drawings and models

• The ideal candidate will possess a balanced mix of quantitative, consultative, and facilitative/leadership skills

• Ability to handle ambiguity and white space

• Ability to travel when needed for a project
