Insight Global is looking for a Business Development Director for one of our large third-party lab testing client companies. This will be a remote position with the occasional need to travel (50-60%) to manufacturing sites and clients. The candidate should be local to Orange County. They will support small to medium size accounts within their territory and are responsible for periodically prospecting new clients in order to meet sales quota. The ideal candidate will drive U.S. Food Microbiology sales with a focus on food manufactures who rely on quality and safety testing as a key component of their product or processing.

Required Skills & Experience
7-10 years of experience
Experience in the food science industry
Assist in development of annual sales forecast, budget, and sales plan.
Maintain and initiate commercial contracts with customers such as: quotes, request for information (RFI), proposals etc in accordance with the sales plan and company guidelines
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Existing contacts/network within the food manufacturing industry
Masters within related field
IFT Membership (Institute of Food Technology)
Experience selling for another lab
