Summary:

The Senior Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing high-impact business transactions and partnerships that align with ADT's strategic objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the security services industry, a proven track record of successful deal-making, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth through commercial transactions, strategic partnerships and building critical industry alliances.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners across various industries to enhance ADT's service offerings and market reach.
  • Deal Execution: Lead all aspects of the deal process, including identification, valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and integration planning.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks that could impact ADT's business strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, legal, operations, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, partners, and external advisors, to secure buy-in and support for strategic initiatives.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business development activities and make data-driven decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of experience across business development, corporate development, or investment banking with a focus on transactions and partnerships within Smart Home, home security, technology, or related industries.
  • Experience leading strategic partnerships in a product-driven environment in a large technology company (e.g., Google, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Proven track record of successfully executing high-value transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in deal structuring, valuation, and negotiation.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends in security services or technology.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and act decisively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
