Job Description

The University of Missouri's Division of Animal Sciences seeks an experienced Business Support Specialist Sr to help manage all non-grant divisional accounts. This position will serve as lead staff for management of departmental general operating, gift, service, and non-grant contract activities, which includes direct responsibility for fiscal and other related functions.

Key Duties Performed by This Position Will Include:

Oversee fiscal processes and monitoring of all non-grant division account activity within the Division of Animal Sciences.

Procurement/Income Management

• Review and approve all requisitions, vouchers and one-card charges for all non-grant division related expenses, ensuring fiscal policy was followed and proper documentation is provided

• Process all non-grant related non-catalog requisitions and equipment purchases.

• Process CRR and ARR deposits as various checks, wire transfers and cash are received

• Process billing and internal service entries for division services accounts such as copier, poster printer, building usage and lab services

Fiscal Oversight, Administration and Reporting

• Review, approve and reconcile monthly expenditures in the financial system for allowability, accuracy and proper documentation on all non-grant accounts

• Research expenditures and process appropriate expense corrections when necessary

• Process journal entries, correcting entries and transfer journal entries as needed

• Process, review for accuracy, and distribute monthly financial reports to faculty and staff

• Inform and assist faculty, staff and students regarding funding availability, account usage, fiscal and purchasing policies, and other university processes as needed

Division One Card management

• Submit and track all One Card applications and card holders within the division.

• Review card limits and spending trends to make change recommendations as needed

• Manage and reconcile the divisional utilities card for all utility expenses at the outlying farms managed by Animal Sciences

Other related fiscal duties as assigned

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.50 - $34.18 Commensurate with experience.
