Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Under the direct supervision of Assistant Director of OHS, carries out or performs managerial and clerical activities in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital.

Administrative: The Coordinating Manager B in the OHS Department performs managerial and operational functions in order to achieve and maintain a seamless day-to-day operation and patient satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support the Associate Director of Nursing with managing day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Employee Health Unit.
2. Manage procurement of supplies, materials and equipment for the department.
3. Participates in budgetary planning, review operating cost, performs cost studies and prepares OTPS/PS departmental budget.
4. Prepare statistics, reports, staff and equipment justifications and assist in the preparation of budget requests and capital equipment needs of the department.
5. Reconcile supply orders with purchase orders and invoices for the OHS department.
6. Troubleshoot day-to-day operations for materials management, procurement, and account issues in collaboration with the Accounts Payable and Central Procurement Departments.
7. Assist in ensuring the OHS department's initiatives on "Patient Satisfaction" is optimal.
8. Assist ADN with review of performance evaluations for accuracy and submission. Provide ADN with administrative support and assistance as needed.
9. Complete documentation for progressive disciplinary action for staff not adhering to compliance with corporate policy and procedures.
10. Assist in ensuring TJC readiness; type, revise and prepare polices, survey compliance documents, plans of corrections.
11. Initiates, prepare and maintain memoranda, reports, spreadsheets, presentations and charts.
12. Responsible for the supervision of the clerical associates, daily operations, along with monitoring and tracking of the staff productivity.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling; and
2. Two (2) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, one (1) year of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician; or two (2) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including one (1) year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
3. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines listed in "1" above; and
4. Three (3) years of full-time experience, as described in "2" above, including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations, as listed in "2" above; or
5. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
