Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to look for a Data Analyst to work on a W2 contract in Berlin, CT.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing & maintaining project reporting to track and monitor the performance of the relevant organizations. Conduct analytical/reporting related tasks to aid in efficient monitoring of project costs, trends, and schedules to track the overall health of the project. Analytical thinking, transformation of data, and performance of compliance reviews & data validation for the functional area is required. 5-10 years experience.

Specific duties of Data Analyst may include:
• Use Power Query to extract, transform, and load data from various sources or IDM (IPS DataMart) for reporting.
• Develop / Maintain Access Databases to store and organize data for reporting purposes.
• Design and generate standardized weekly and monthly reporting using excel or other reporting tools like PBI.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests.
• Conduct data analysis and research to uncover trends, anomalies, and insights.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data through validation checks and data reconciliation processes.
• Perform quality assurance checks on reports and data outputs to maintain the highest standards of data integrity.
• Document all reporting and create video guides for all their reports.
• Work closely with stakeholders within the Planning and Scheduling team to understand their role and deliver useful tools.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
• Develop macros, scripts, or tools within Excel or Access to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance productivity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have expertise in two or more of the following areas:
• Microsoft Power Platform: Power BI, PowerApps, and Microsoft Flow. Power BI, including DAX, highly desired.
• Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL. SSIS.
• Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc. Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel and Access development. Proficiency with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming, including ability to analyze, debug, and/or enhance existing VBA applications.
