Responsibilities
- Assist the Data Defense and Access Assurance team in managing the security of company data through the entire data lifecycle, from creation to destruction, including identification, classification, and protection of data across consumer data, employee data, business sensitive data and intellectual property.
- Conduct data security risk assessments to identify gaps in coverage across environments.
- Work on data remediation workflows and track risks and issues.
- Work on data scanning, writing python scripts, automating the scanning processes.
- Assist the team in creating a strategy for the control environment that protects company data, including understanding requirements, designing controls, and ultimately managing the ongoing operation of those controls.

Qualifications

Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 1 year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Machine
Learning, Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
- Utilizing relational database including SQL, NoSQL, or MySQL;
- Utilizing non-relational database or big data including Hive, Hadoop, HDFS, Redis, Graph, or Mongo;
- Process automation and script development using Python or Go;
- Data analysis using Python Pandas library and RegEx; and
- Utilizing Linux and command line interfaces.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in at least 4 of the following areas: (1) Data discovery and identification; (2) Data lifecycle and protection of data throughout; (3) Data classification and privacy policies; (4) Data modeling and administration; or (5) Disk, file, device, and database encryption.

Salary Range: $118800 - $196000 per year
