Desktop Support Technician

An employer in Midland, TX is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting 25 sites located within the Permian Basin with 200-250 end u . This person will be responsible for handling any IT related issues from hardware break fix, troubleshooting application and basic networking issues, setting up new u , imaging laptops, and helping assist with a Windows 11 upgrade. Other tasks will include traveling to sites for in person support (as needed), helping support the Helpdesk with phone support, and assisting with asset/inventory tracking. Candidates will also be helping upgrade memory and SSD drives along with replacing outdated hardware. This person needs to be comfortable interfacing with u both in person and remotely, have strong communication, be a self-starter and have excellent customer service attitude.

5+ years experience in a Desktop Support role
Experience with Active Directory
Hands on troubleshooting and break fix experience
Upgrade/Migration experience (ideally Win 10 to Win 11)
Experience re-imagining PCs
PC build out/hardware experience
Enterprise level experience
Excellent written and verbal communication

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous O&G experience
Networking experience
