The Director of Business Development for the Mid Market Segment will be responsible for defining and executing on all aspects of our partner strategy (from inception to delivery) as part of a new business within Intuit, with a strong focus on ISVs. This executive will build and lead the partnerships team responsible for building a new mid-market strategy by working with key internal stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, sales and support. They will partner closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with our long term product strategy across our Quickbooks and Mailchimp products. The right candidate will be a strategic and ambitious visionary with the proven ability to deliver impactful partnerships that deliver exceptional value to the end customers, partners and Intuit. Furthermore, this leader should have strong experience working with programs teams to help define and build new partner programs that have successfully scaled through GTM and co-selling motions targeting the SMB market. The leader we seek should be highly motivated to succeed, and empower his/her team to scale, in an approachable manner that engenders trust and confidence at all levels across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Thought Leadership: Be a strategic advisor for Product Leaders in how both ISV and SI partnerships can accelerate strategies to win. Have strong experience partnering and selling into mid-market (10-99 employees) and SMB with respect to how partnerships play an outsized role in driving a complete end solution to the customer.
  • Co-selling and GTM: Work with sales leadership and partner programs to create the right economics and scalable partner motion to recruit new partners and embed them into future sales motions.
  • Revenue: Ecosystem (ISV + SI) revenue accountability across the new portfolio of business. Manage a team who will create new, game changing revenue opportunities (new & existing partners).
  • M&A or first party evaluation: Working closely with the Segment teams to provide business insight that will form the strategic rationales for potential M&A or strategic partnerships to embed new products, partner target selection and potential deal justification.
  • Strategy: Developing short, medium, and long-term partnership plans based on our business objectives and work cross functionally with marketing, product, engineering, sales and customer success teams to inform and shape the product roadmap to help achieve our goals
  • Leadership: Significant experience of clearing roadblocks, mediating disputes, celebrating successes, and using operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve
