The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.

Required Skills:
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to staff
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution
  • Administer and maintain accurate and complete employee personnel files.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee records and encourage employees to keep personnel information confidential.
  • Oversee preparation of job descriptions and development of new positions.
  • Keep abreast of and ensure compliance with government rules and regulations concerning employees and personnel records.
  • Keep managers and employees informed of Company rules and guidelines and help ensure that the Employee Handbook is followed.
  • Keep managers and employees informed of benefits and changes to benefits and coordinate Company distribution of information.
  • Complete biweekly payroll; working with department managers to approve reports, and input data into payroll software.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new employee orientation that informs new employees of company policies and benefits, and ensure that forms and records are properly completed.
  • Monitor employee evaluations, encouraging managers to complete them timely and report delinquent evaluations monthly.
  • Answer employee questions about benefits or payroll and assist employees as problems arise in these areas.
  • Complete monthly inter-company billing for shared employees and approve invoices.
  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program, employee relations counseling, exit interviewing, writes and places advertisements

Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
