Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Retail Stores to oversee the operations and strategic direction of our company's retail stores. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As the Director of Retail Stores, you will be responsible for managing a team of retail managers, developing and implementing retail strategies, and ensuring the overall success of our retail store network.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth, increase market share, and enhance profitability of our retail stores
  • Lead and manage a team of retail managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success and the success of their teams
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess store performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, merchandising, and operations, to develop and execute effective retail strategies and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards across all retail locations
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a customer-centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess store operations, provide feedback, and ensure consistent adherence to brand standards
  • Develop and manage retail budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control measures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to negotiate favorable terms and maximize profitability


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field. MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple retail stores
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving financial targets in a multi-store retail environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing and empowering teams to achieve excellence
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans and make sound business decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
