Job Description

Boyter Brothers, LLC is seeking a driven, detail-oriented, organized, problem-solving go-getter with strong communication skills and high ethical standards. Tasks that would be the responsibility of an Entry Level Estimator/ Project Manager are outlined below:

Sales
  • Seek out and obtain bid opportunities.
  • Secure work to meet revenue and profit goals.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with customers.

Estimator
  • Complete Estimate Set Up Checklist and organize bid documents to prepare estimate.
  • Determine material specifications and identify suppliers to be used.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from plans.
  • Dynamic understanding of specifications.
  • Estimate project and create job costs budgets.
  • Evaluate estimate information and ensure quality bids.
  • Create bid proposals that clearly communicate the proposed scope of work.
  • Estimates interior joint assemblies for rated wall types.

Project Manager
  • Complete New Project Set Up Checklist.
  • Create site-specific safety plans and material submittals.
  • Upload scope documents in Procore.
  • Orders long-lead items and order, receive, and track hardpack deliveries.
  • Participate in pre-construction project scheduling, safety planning, and material submittal meetings.
  • Be the point of contact and participation in weekly job site coordination meeting.
  • Set Up and Maintain Remote Office when applicable.
  • Attend job walks with Mechanical Project Managers and Superintendent.
  • Estimate design revisions and submit pricing for change orders.
  • Prepare monthly billings for active projects.
  • Maintain and execute project schedules/deadlines.
  • Evaluate ongoing financial performance of projects, comparing budgets to actual costs.
  • Determine how secondary direct job costs (specifically charged) are allocated to projects. This includes Estimator / Project Manager salary expenses.
  • Ensure that project close-out requirements are met.

Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a Federal Background Check and MVR Check for the last 7 years.
  • Demonstrates an aptitude of Sales.
  • Completes the Test Gorilla assessment during the interview process.

Skills/Abilities:
  • Comfortable with customer outreach and engagement.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Travel to jobsites, regional offices, and events.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, organization, and prioritization with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:
  • Highschool Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in any field demonstrating responsibility, reliability, and aptitude to grow into a sales, estimation, and project management role.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times and navigate a construction site.
