Minimum Qualifications

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Considerable knowledge of troubleshooting procedures for commercial food service equipment.
Ability to read and understand wiring schematics equipment.
Minimum of 5 years experience at a large-scale university or operation.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for oversight of the planning, design, coordination, implementation, and operation of all maintenance activities for Dining Service Operations. This position is expected to make technical decisions and plays a key role in all renovations, design, and modifications to infrastructure.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Considerable knowing of all Dining Services Department Buildings and all equipment frequently used to support daily maintenance activities. Knowledge of Procurement Rules and Regulations. Experience working with outside contractors and vendors.

Physical Demands

Lift up to 50 lbs. Stand for extended period times. Work in various conditions not limited to working in variable temperatures, closed or confined spaces.

Responsible for the oversight of all maintenance activities for Dining Services Operations

Supervise and provide the Facilities Maintenance Team with direction on proper planning and procedures on repairs and maintenance. Verify and evaluate repairs upon completion.

Purchase and maintain adequate supplies and materials for general building repairs and in-house renovation projects.

Perform trade work and assist in the acquisition and supervision of trades for building maintenance. Inspect and evaluate building utilities, equipment, and infrastructure to determine necessary repairs and maintenance.
