Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the company's health and safety programs in the retail environment through communication at all field levels of responsibility, remote and on-site training facilitation, site reviews, audits, and action plan development.
  • Develop partnerships with field stakeholders to advance the company's health and safety programs, safety policy and procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards to include OSHA and state occupational safety and health agencies.
  • Evaluate health and safety trends in the assigned area of responsibility, develop solutions to improve safety performance.
  • Serve as the safety point of contact and subject matter expert to evaluate situations and provide guidance to field leadership on health and safety regulatory matters.
  • Support the field during regulatory inspections, respond to requests by regulatory agencies where required and provide guidance to ensure resolution of health and safety opportunities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge regulatory health and safety standards, hazard identification, hazard evaluation and controls.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to influence people through strong interpersonal and networking skills at all levels of the field organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze information, draw conclusions and problem solve
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a fast-paced, environment.
  • Experience communicating and interacting with safety regulatory agencies.
  • Current knowledge of regulatory health and safety industry standards.
  • Results-oriented and able to work in a dynamic environment.


Work Experience and/or Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in an EHS field or equivalent experience considered.
  • Five years' experience in an EHS role, or Asset Protection and Safety role.
  • CSP, ASP certification preferred.
