Job Summary

The business office analyst responsibilities will include financial analysis and reporting, data analysis, cost management, and strategic planning. You will analyze financial statements, prepare forecasts and budgets, and monitor performance against these benchmarks. Your role will also involve improving revenue cycle processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and identifying and mitigating risks. You will work closely with various departments to implement cost-saving measures, lead or participate in projects aimed at operational improvements, and prepare and present reports to the CFO and other stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • The focus of this position is to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, processes, services, in which the business operates
  • This role will be key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges and/or new system functionalities
  • Analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights to the CFO.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to hospital operations, patient care, and financial performance.
  • Use data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Identify areas of cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Work with department heads to implement cost-saving measures.
  • Analyze and improve the revenue cycle processes to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business operations.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving hospital operations and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure successful project implementation.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business admin, healthcare admin, or relevant years of experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHRs), Cerner preferred
  • Must possess strong analytical, organizational and product management skills
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SQL
  • Strong ability to analyze financial and operational data.
  • General understanding of financial principles and healthcare finance.

Physical Requirements
  • Must exhibit desirable trunk and extremity mobility and strength to perform job duties.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds safely
  • Must be able to see, hear and speak English.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods.
