Pay Information
T his position is in the State of Ohio's E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 14. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $37.53 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

What You'll Do
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining grant programs and interagency agreements. Job duties include:
- Work with grantees to complete operational plan, grant budget and budget narrative as well as other documents to start the agreement initiation process.
- Work with other Offices in the department regarding approval for grant agreements, program plans, and contracts.
- Work with grantees to establish grant award by reviewing, editing and/or creating grant deliverables; by assisting in establishing a grant agreement; and by creating requisitions in order to establish a purchase order.
- Monitor grantee performance by completing expenditure trackers, monitoring documents and by reviewing performance reports.
- Work with grantees to process invoices and assess performance reports.
- Provide technical assistance to grantees on grant requirements and regulations and by interpreting and communicating state and federal laws and regulations.
- Provide verbal and/or written responses to internal and external inquiries.
Telework Policy: This position, upon approval, may work remotely and requires occasional in-person meetings for training or other operational needs. Successful candidates are required to:
- Have and maintain internet at their remote location during normal working hours (employee will have access to shared workspaces at an ODJFS location).
- Reside within a reasonable distance to assigned work office location to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
- Sign a teleworking agreement on first day of employment (telework schedule is subject to change based on the agency's operational needs and telework status).
Travel: Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid drivers license.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
OPTION 1:
- 54 mos. exp. or 54 mos. trg. financial administration.
OR OPTION 2:
- Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration.
OR OPTION 3:
- Completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field AND 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in financial administration.
- Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
