Why does the job exist?

Position will process client payments for restitution, Probation and Parole, court and DNA fees along with tracking fleet and telecommunications.

How does it get done?

* Accept client payments and entering these into our Central Offender Payment System along with depositing these within 24 hours
* Track Probation and Parole Division fleet and telecommunications
* Provide customer service as needed for questions related to the offender payment system and report issues to Supervisor as needed.

* New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD)
* Vendors

Ideal Candidate

Experience in the following:
* Accounts payable/receivable
* Fleet management
* General Accepted Accounting Principles
* SHARE Financials

Minimum Qualification

High School Diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting and/or finance. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements

This position is designed safety sensitive. Employment is subject to pre-employment and random testing in accordance with all terms and conditions of Federal and State law, rules and regulations in relation to alcohol and/or drug testing. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Pre-employment background check is required and conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates. May be required to work odd hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
