The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a Senior Fiscal Technician to update and maintain customer billing/invoice records, accurately apply payments to the appropriate invoice and balance and reconcile large volume deposits (check, credit card and electronic payments). The position is also responsible for responding to a high call volume of customer inquiries, email inquiries as well as support to Customer Service Centers (CSCs), Customer Contact Center (CCC), DMV's private and public sector business partners, and other departments in a courteous professional manner. Duties are rotated to perform all services provided in the work unit.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Working knowledge of office operational principles, office equipment and use of standard business forms and filing systems
• Experience performing detailed work with numerical and statistical data
• Experience balancing and reconciling accounts and cash drawer
• Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying policies, procedures and state and federal laws and regulations
• Experience communicating courteously and effectively with others orally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability to work independently

Additional Considerations

• Experience working in a high-volume automated accounting environment
