Job Description:
Grant and Program Management: Develop and maintain sound fiscal and organizational management systems and practices. Define and revise a Theory of Change for how the program activities will lead to long term results and gather, analyze, and report on data to make improvements to the program. Partner with on-site camp directors to ensure proper training and supervision of sites. Work with the community to identify environmental education needs and help provide those services. Assist in environmental education program creation and delivery.
Member Management: Recruit, enroll, train, and retain AmeriCorps member positions using appropriate human resource and inclusion practices. Develop and conduct a comprehensive member training plan that provides the skills and necessary training for their service activities.
Fiscal Oversight: Actively participate in managing the budget for the AmeriCorps grant and work cooperatively with UF/IFAS financial and leadership staff to manage program funds and documentation of finances. Assist in developing a sustainability plan for the program, both financially and non-financially.
Leadership Development: Plan and participate in training opportunities that promote personal and professional growth. Help cultivate leaders within AmeriCorps and national service and support Volunteer Florida in promoting AmeriCorps.
Perform other duties as assigned by the State 4-H Headquarters.
Advertised Salary:
$36,000-$45,000 commensurate with experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in education, sciences, business management, youth development, or other related fields, with two years of experience in a non-profit leadership role. Experience in grant management and/or AmeriCorps programs is preferred.
Should have good leadership skills with both youth and adults. Should work well independently with minimum supervision. Exceptional customer service, computer, verbal, written and organizational skills are a must.
Should have a valid driver's license and be able to travel within Florida as well as throughout the US when required to manage program responsibilities. Should be an effective oral and written communicator through a variety of means- phone, email, social media, etc.
