Chipton-Ross is seeking a Food Service Associate for a contract opportunity in Crystal City, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role is for a back of the house, banquet man for the Global Vision Center's auditorium, multi-purpose room, 7 conference rooms and touchdown space. The multi-purpose room and one conference room are reconfigurable with modular tables and chairs. The auditorium, 6 other conference rooms, and touch down space are not reconfigurable. Event set up also includes reception set ups which would include cocktail tables & linens, reception or registration tables, and general event supplies.
Responsible for ensuring rooms are set up with meeting accessory items such as 6 foot tables and linens for catering requirements, white boards & markers, classified box, auditorium lectern, and general room and facility readiness. Facility readiness includes light housekeeping duties such as table and credenza wipe downs and light vacuuming as needed.
Responsible for ensuring auditorium, multi-purpose room, 7 conference rooms and touchdown space are configured and set up on a daily basis as requested by meeting host.
Responsible for managing the GVC linen readiness. This includes stripping the tables of soiled linens, bagging linens for vendor pick up, coordinating with vendor for pickup and delivery, and linen organization upon return from dry cleaning vendor.
Responsible for breaking down the two daily coffee services. This includes washing approximately four large coffee and hot water urns, washing approximately four large beverage dispensers, restocking beverage service condiments such as tea bags, cups, napkins, creamers, and sugars, and securing prepackaged snacks in cabinets.
Responsible for breaking down executive break service on a limited, as needed basis. This includes hand washing and wiping down specialty coffee service support items.
Daily assignments are established by GVC event plans as required by meeting hosts and are assigned to the food service operator by the GVC meeting coordinators and GVC director. Break service requirements are established by GVC event plans and are assigned by the food service lead and GVC director.
Serves as the backup to facilities to support the 4 demo center set up and configuration requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
ServSafe Certified (preferred, but not required).
Must be able to lift tables and chairs.
Takes direction well.
Works well with minimal supervision.
