The Department of State Hospitals-Napa, Central Nursing Services is accepting applications for a full time, limited term with possibility of permanent, NOC shift Health Services Specialist position. This position functions under the supervision of the Assistant Coordinator of Nursing Services.
Qualified applicants must be able to perform various duties including providing oversight of triage and management of patients who need urgent and emergent medical care; provide guidance and mentorship to on unit staff; documenting and tracking all medical and behavioral incidents; respond to medical emergencies; collaborate with other HSS's and residential programs in carrying out duties; completing nursing related audits; serve as Nurse on Duty (NOD) as needed; and effectively communicating with stakeholders. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs. Applicants should be highly motivated, goal oriented and demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills.
