Full Salary Range: $42,072 - $75,287

Expected Hiring Range: $42,072 - $55,358, based on qualifications.

Work Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | 3:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Off on Wednesday)

Note: The position is assigned to a 40-hour work schedule, which is a flex schedule depending on the workload. This schedule may change during holiday weeks or for emergency services, requiring flexibility with little or no notice, including weekend or holiday shifts. Early morning reporting times and working in inclement weather are essential. Excellent attendance is a must for success in this role.

About the Role:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of waste collection services. You will be responsible for operating front-loaders, side-loader vehicles, and knuckle boom trucks, servicing over 150 stationary containers (dumpsters) and up to 1,000 carts daily. Safety, efficiency, and teamwork are at the heart of this position. You'll be tasked with following prepared routes, conducting vehicle inspections, and collaborating with other operators under limited supervision. This role is physically demanding, requiring outdoor work in various weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will also maintain a valid Class B CDL and ensure your attendance and communication remain consistent and reliable. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. What You Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED, with 1+ years of experience in the Solid Waste Industry (refuse, recycling), OR
• No High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in the Solid Waste Industry
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training on front-loader or other automated collection equipment
