Job Title: HR Program Manager

Job Summary:

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an HR Program Manager. The HR Program Manager will focus on recruitment of faculty and staff within the department as part of a team to support major growth within the department. The department is also committed to improving its diversity, equity, and inclusion practices for recruitment and retention. This position will work closely with the DEI committees to implement and research best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project development and management of HR, faculty affairs and recruitment processes.
  • Works with HR Manager and HR coordinator and Recruitment Team lead on employee onboarding processes.
  • Works with recruitment lead to manage HR systems process including HCM position, job entry, Taleo management (positions and candidates), search matrix and search summary development etc.
  • Works with recruitment lead and recruitment team to manage the internal administrative stipend process and assistant professor promotion process.
  • Oversees the management of Faculty Affairs related tasks including credentialing and hospital privileges, midcourse, promotion and tenure process, faculty and staff hire process, CU Med site of practice.
  • Project development and management of HR, faculty affairs and recruitment processes.
  • Works with HR Manager and HR coordinator and Recruitment Team lead on employee onboarding processes.


Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
  • Four (4) years of Human Resources experience.


Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an academic and/or healthcare environment.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience using CU programs (Smartsheet, HCM, FIMS, Salesforce, or similar programs).
  • Experience working with students, staff, and faculty, within a higher education and/or academic medical environment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
  • Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Thorough knowledge of current management and leadership methods and best practices.
  • Ability to manage and handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $61,642 - $78,408.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
