The Associate HR Manager partners with Operations management (ACOs, GMs) in support of Operations recruiting and staffing, associate relations, and leadership development, typically for 50 - 75 stores. You'll get a chance to:
- Develop and execute staffing plans for Operations to ensure a strong pipeline of internal and external candidates for Assistant Manager to RDO positions.
- Source candidates using internet postings, Open House events, college recruiting, job fairs, and direct sourcing, and follows up with new hires to ensure adequate and proper training.
- Use Taleo system to screen candidates.
- Partner in the facilitation of People Planning to evaluate internal candidates and identify high potential associates for Operations management.
- Coach and advise Operations leadership (primarily ACOs and GMs) on issues related to hiring, associate performance, career and personal development, associate concerns, and terminations.
- Conduct exit interviews to understand opportunities for improved retention.
- Work with ACOs, to ensure understanding and commitment to the company's mission, values, and culture.
- Investigate complaints and disputes involving Operations associates
- May resolve issues on own but involves Field HRDs in achieving resolution of more complex issues and disputes.
- May assist Senior Zone Learning Specialists in facilitating training and development sessions for Operations associates. Topics may include 7 Habits, Sexual Harassment, Interviewing Skills, Conducting Effective Performance Reviews, etc.
- Travel and store environment, 75%-plus (local and overnight), varies by region

Qualifications:
Your background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; PHR/SPHR or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum five years of HR experience, with a minimum of three years HR Generalist or equivalent experience in employee relations, training and development, and recruiting, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment.
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
