We are accepting applications for a Human Capital Management Senior Analyst within the Office of Human Resources, headquartered at the James Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 East Broad Street, 11 th floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Role Overview:

Serves as human resources coordinator for one or more advanced human resources sub-programs (e.g., workforce planning, recruitment planning, and evaluation of workforce analytics): collaborates with OhioMHAS Leadership (e.g. Deputy Directors, Medical Director, Chief Clinical Officers, Chief Executive Officers, Nursing Executives, hiring managers) to coordinate recruitment activities (e.g., candidate sourcing, interviewing, evaluation, and selection) for direct care staff (e.g. Registered Nurses, Physicians, Psychologists, Social Workers, Therapeutic Program Workers).

What you'll do:

• Engage with national organizations, utilize work fairs and social media to promote Hospital and Central Office operations and attract qualified candidates.

• Works with business partners to expedite successful onboarding of the new candidates, provides consultation services to identify short-term and long-term recruitment initiatives, provides sourcing efforts and solutions to meet those needs (e.g., identifies new and creative strategic initiatives for sourcing high quality candidates.

• Researches and identifies direct care professionals from all available sources [e.g., social media, internet postings, print advertising, candidate databases, networking events, State Licensure Boards, etc.]).

• Forms partnerships and collaborates with Regional Psychiatric Hospitals (RPHs) and schools to develop and monitor internship and placement opportunities for students.

• Manages contact with inactive candidates.

• Works with subcontractors and other recruiting sources to identify qualified candidates for vacancies.

• Coordinates, schedules, and facilitates interviews (e.g., interviews & evaluates candidates in person or using available technology).

• Collaborates with hiring manager to develop interview questions and/or assessment tools.

• Collects and reviews candidate credentials (e.g. job application, references, conducts back-ground checks, verifies licensure/educational requirements).

• Documents and tracks applicant and screening activity in the Ohio Hiring Management System [OHMS] or designated database; provides notification/follow up to all candidates.

• Utilizes knowledge and understanding of HR concepts (e.g., position management, compensation, benefits, payroll administration, unemployment, workers' compensation, disability, family medical leave act, EEO, Administrative Services laws and rules, Ohio Revised Code and collective bargaining unit agreements) to support development of reports, monitoring of data integrity, and ensuring accuracy in workforce analytics.

• Responds to public records requests, reporting requirements and provides data as requested to supervisor for agency decision making as well as program customers for a variety of program needs.

• Collaborates with the Medical Director's Office and Legal Office to assist with relocation and Visa activities.

• Maintains records, research, prepares, and presents reports and speeches/presentations.

• Responds to inquiries.

• Tracks and maintains recruitment data.

• Represents Department at recruitment fairs.

• Assists with other recruitment duties as necessary and assigned.

Qualifications

3 yrs. exp. in human resources.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 12 mos. exp. in human resources.

-Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Analyst, 64612.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
