Your role
- Work on a team responsible for developing and executing on workout plans for distressed exposures in UBS Investment Bank's credit portfolio
- Conduct due diligence and perform fundamental credit analysis to provide independent risk management recommendations to senior credit risk managers and banking colleagues
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders and advisors to advocate for UBS's interest in driving optimal resolutions for underperforming credit exposures
- Negotiate, structure and execute restructuring and recapitalization transactions in a manner consistent with UBS's risk appetite and regulatory expectations
- Closely monitor business, financial, and industry developments and maintain accurate client and portfolio data to deliver reporting & risk analysis, including credit loss forecasting
Your team
The Impaired Asset Management (IAM) team is within Credit Risk Control and is responsible for the management of all non-Swiss assets that are classified as impaired or flagged for credit deterioration. The objective of IAM is to maximize recovery, minimize legal risks associated with positions that are under its management, and minimize reputational risk to the Firm.
Your expertise
- 1.5 - 4 years of experience in a credit risk transaction underwriting, portfolio management or similar role with a focus on leveraged borrowers a plus
- Strong credit background with a solid grasp of underwriting concepts, financial statement analysis and enterprise valuation
- Sound understanding of regulatory expectations for the leveraged lending business and experience with the SNC review process a plus
- Excellent analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills and an ability to convey complex messages to varying audiences
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree; MBA and/or CFA a plus
