Position description:
As a Junior Cloud Engineer, you will join a team that ensures the continuous improvement and support of application and supporting infrastructure for customer facing products on public cloud platforms. Responsibilities will include applying engineering principles to build and improve new or existing infrastructure, tools, and processes with a focus on automated solutions. In the pursuit of these responsibilities, you will work closely with multiple teams across the company, but primarily with corresponding Software Development teams.
Training:
Training for this position will be offered in a team-oriented hands-on instructional environment with a mentor. There will be daily tasks for completion and internal courses to be completed throughout your training. The courses available will include common network and server technologies and will also cover operations, engineering, and development responsibilities that are company specific. In addition, we have available a curated library of books and instructional videos for self-paced study.

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with one or more public cloud platforms desired with a preference towards AWS and Azure
- A strong understanding of basic networking principles desired
- Experience with both Windows and Linux server operating systems desired
- Preferred programming and scripting languages include: JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash, JSON, SQL, and YAML
- Preferred experience with: Git based code repositories, Terraform, and Ansible
- Desire and ability to quickly learn and apply new skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to participate in 24-hour on-call rotation
