Lab Technician, Operations Support - pharmaceutical manufacturing

1st Shift Position
Ideal time from 9am-5pm, however, flexible (no earlier than 7:30am)
Associates Degree Required
Bachelors Degree Preferred
**This position is NOT in the lab***....Mainly responsible for material handling and lab maintenance/cleaning
Responsible for supporting Quality Operation, labs and testing. Able to work in a regulated environment. Possesses initiative and a strong commitment to excellence in a fast paced and growing organization.
Job requirements will include wearing personal protective equipment, such as eye, foot, lab coat, mask, gowning coveralls.
Responsibilities
• Performs a variety of duties relating to laboratory and testing operations. Follows departmental work instructions, SOP's, OSHA safety regulations and cGMPs to perform assigned tasks.
• Manage and monitor test samples, reagents, lab supply and consumable inventory, generate expense purchase requisitions, if applicable, input production data and other work-output data into appropriate network (e.g. SAP/RAM) and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintains stock room, laboratories or work areas properly stocked with supplies and consumables needed for testing.
• Conducts maintenance activities within labs and as needed for instruments and equipment.
• Duties may include handling of hazardous materials in activities described above. Depending upon area of assignment or primary focus, may maintain departmental stock rooms, keep labs stocked, prepare buffers as needed/required which may also include performing direct production or testing activities.
• Attends required training classes and participates in on-the-job training.
• Manages schedules, workload and establishes priorities using inputs from business requirements, SAP, and/or internal customer needs.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
