Title: R&D Lab Technician

Location: Lyndhurst, NJ

Schedule: M-F First Shift

Type: Contract

Pay: $22/hour (depending upon experience)

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assistance in product development, testing and laboratory housekeeping.

• Compound products, prepare lab batches, mixing and casting samples per instruction given by supervisor.
• Test laboratory samples, production samples and competitive samples.
• Work on minor projects with minimum supervision.
• Keep accurate records of test results.
• Prepare reports or memos on assigned tasks or projects.
• Maintain the mixing equipment in good operating conditions.
• Maintain assigned work areas and community work areas clean and tidy.
• Store away raw materials, retains, and reference samples in designated areas.
• Follow ASTM, ACI and other internal test standards.
• Provide support to QS9000, PCP and PSP processes.
• Attend all company provided training programs.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Some industry experiences related to sealants, adhesives, coatings or cement
• Able to follow instruction and work independently
• Good communicating and writing skill
• Basic skill in Microsoft Word and Excel.
