UKG is currently seeking a self-driven, highly skilled, and experienced individual to join our Payment Services Team as a Lead Business Systems Analyst with a concentration in Research and System Compliance.

This role is responsible for ensuring payroll tax compliance, managing system integration, driving process improvement, and providing tax expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll tax regulations, be adept at working in complex systems, and provide domain-specific guidance to ensure accurate and timely tax filings. This role will help lead and execute specific projects focused on the implementation of enterprise solutions and may be involved in areas of the business requiring a level of confidentiality due to the nature of the work including corporate payroll tax filing.

This individual will have a deep knowledge of the Payment Services systems and UKG Pro with a proven ability to identify system issues and determine the correct course of action for resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Multi-Platform Support:
- Manage payroll tax processes across multiple payroll platforms and systems.
- Ensure consistent and accurate payroll tax reporting and compliance across all platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payroll tax processes with broader business objectives.

Payroll Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Will prepare and support payroll tax returns and reports accurately and on time.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Assist in the resolution of payroll tax issues and audits.

System Integration:
- Work with 3rd party vendors, support teams and product teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll systems with tax filing platforms.
- Assist in the implementation and testing of new payroll systems or updates to existing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to payroll system integrations.

Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in payroll tax activities.
- As a Subject Matter Expert, develop and implement best practices and represent Payment Services System Support in cross functional efforts
- Provide training and support to payroll teams on new processes and systems.
- Provide specialized knowledge in local tax requirements and ensure compliance with jurisdictional laws.

Required Qualifications:

- Proficient in MasterTax, Excel and Word.
- General accounting experience.
- Ability to negotiate positive resolutions with business partners (internal and external) including tax agencies.
- Proficient working with multiple systems and tools to perform job functions.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based environment.
- Previous customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent work experience.
- Expertise within payroll taxes and relevant systems, minimum of 5 years' work experience.
- Excellent analytical and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work diligently under tight deadlines with attention to detail.

Interpersonal Skills:

- Good oral and written communication skills and above average administrative skills
- Good time-management skills that allow us to meet production and initiative goals
- Ability to effectively interface with departments both within the company as well as external sources

The pay range for this position is $96,900 to $139,300, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
