Summary:

The Lead Solution Architect spearheads the definition of architecture principles, steering technology decisions, and ensuring their harmony with business objectives. With a robust background in reporting and analytics, you'll drive the conception, refinement, and execution of cutting-edge, scalable solutions for our organization. Your leadership is instrumental to guiding a cross-functional team of architects, developers, product owners, and quality assurance resources, as well as serving as a technical liaison to other technical teams involved in the program.

Of equal importance, your technical expertise and strong grasp of the business objectives will be leveraged to collaborate closely with product management, project and program leadership, ensuring the delivery of solutions that harness the forefront of technology and industry best practices.

Position Description:

Define and communicate the strategic architecture vision, principles, and standards to align with business goals, emphasizing reporting and analytics requirements.

Lead the design and architecture of complex software solutions, considering scalability, reliability, security, and performance, while integrating robust reporting and analytics capabilities.

Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to drive innovation and improvement within our tech stack.

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and other architects to understand and/or refine requirements, prioritize deliverables, and drive consensus on technical solutions, incorporating reporting and analytics needs.

Collaborate with product owners, developers, project managers/scrum master’s on SAFE PI Planning and the successful implementation of designed solutions and small enhancements.

Provide expertise, guidance, and oversight to programming standards for the Java programming language, SQL databases, Databricks, Snowflake data platform, and Looker analytics platform.

Identify potential risks and technical debt in the architecture and propose mitigation strategies to ensure long-term maintainability and scalability.

Champions and develops innovation principles and ideas.

Mentor and coach junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation in reporting and analytics-driven architecture design and implementation.

Establish governance processes to ensure compliance with architectural principles and standards.

Minimum Requirements

15+ years of experience in software architecture, with a focus on enterprise-scale solutions and a background in reporting and analytics.

Critical Skills

Experience in software architecture, with a focus on enterprise-scale solutions and a background in reporting and analytics.

Strong expertise in Java programming language, SQL databases, Snowflake data platform, SAP systems, and Looker analytics platform, with a deep understanding of reporting and analytics concepts and tools.

Proven experience leading architecture design and implementation efforts, with a track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, particularly in reporting and analytics contexts.

Experience working in agile environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.

Ability to translate technical jargon into easy-to-consume information

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of and experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus.

Highly organized and detail-oriented with respect to documentation.

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
